Only use lexan/polycarbonate compatible paints. Other paint types don't adhere or flex well, which leads to cracking and flaking. It's best to stick to one brand as well to avoid unwanted interactions.

First wash the body inside and out with warm soapy water and a clean sponge, wash cloth or the like. NOT one that's used to clean the mac and cheese out of the pot. Dry off with a clean paper towel or cloth. I went down to Wal-Mart and bought some cloth diapers.

Step 7: Remove all glue joints and let the finished painted body dry for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature. Done!

PREPARING THE BODY Lexan bodies are to be painted on the inside. The outside of the body has a removable peel coat to protect the body from scratches and paint overspray. Do not remove the peel coat until after the body is painted.
